36 Crazyfists
36 Crazyfists are a four-piece metal band formed in December 1994 and originating from Anchorage, Alaska. They are now based in Portland, Oregon. The band's name comes from a Jackie Chan movie, The 36 Crazy Fists.
The band independently released two EPs and one LP before being signed by Roadrunner Records in 2000. The band recorded their major debut album Bitterness the Star which was released on April 4, 2002. In support of its release, the band toured with such heavy weight acts as Candiria, God Forbid, Chimaira, Diecast, and Hotwire. After touring the United States, they headed off to Europe to begin the European Road Rage Tour with Killswitch Engage and Five Pointe O.
They have released five albums, In the Skin, Bitterness the Star, A Snow Capped Romance, Rest Inside the Flames, and their fifth The Tide And Its Takers was released on May 27, 2008.

A Snow Capped Romance is the second album by 36 Crazyfists. It was released on March 16, 2004 by Roadrunner Records. "At the End of August" and "Bloodwork", were released as singles, the latter of which was featured in the 2004 film Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

The Tide and Its Takers (2008)
The Tide and Its Takers is the fourth major label studio album by 36 Crazyfists and was released on 27 May 2008. The band filmed a music video for the album's first single, "We Gave It Hell", with director Soren, who has previously worked with the likes of Behemoth and Unearth. The video was released on YouTube on 6 May 2008.
The album reached number 155 on the Billboard 200 in its first week as well as number four on the Top Heatseekers, number 23 on the Hard Rock chart, and number 11 on the Top Independent Albums chart. The Tide and Its Takers marks the highest first-week sales ever for the band (4150 copies USA). The album also peaked at number 83 on the UK Albums Chart.

Bitterness the Star is 36 Crazyfists' debut major label album it was released on April 4, 2002 through Roadrunner Records, and was produced by Eddie Wohl. "Slit Wrist Theory" was released as a single and is often censored to "Wrist Theory" on music channels. This is the only 36 Crazyfists album to bear a Parental Advisory sticker.
Carl Severson from Nora appears on "One More Word" and Steev Esquivel from Skinlab appears on "Bury Me Where I Fall" as guest vocalists.
